I am pritty sure the 3800 holden v6 share a similar gearbox to the auto isuzu 4wd boxs were you can practically bolt a v6 straight up to them. It might be worth a look as the motors are alot cheaper and it will be a even cheaper conversion it you dont need to get a custom adapter to the gearbox. I have a lexus v8 in my 4wd and the starter motors dont like the mud and water. Its not a 5 min job to take the stater out either its at the bottom of the v under the intake plenum

is it possible to cram a lexus v8 (4.0) into a 92 isuzu mu in place of the old 4 cyl turbo diesel? is already a manual and would be looking to keep it legal, wont be used for ,much off roading? cheers
