How much $ ya got fordcapri1980!. I have a mean-ass stroker windsor with big Vortech supercharger for a good price. close to 800hp.
SVO R-302 block, Eagle internals, Probe pistons, full roller valvetrain, Canfield alloy heads, Harland Sharp rollers, Edelbrock EFI, full MSD etc etc.

Yup I agree but make it rear wheel drive for the novelty factor you'd be hard pressed to make it handle as well as an escort/sierra cosworth but not so much to make it light up as well as a falcon.

If it's a nice one then definately keep the old girl all Ford, if she's not so flash & you intend on modding her a bit then do whatever, but a straight 6 will be a pain to get in such a short engine bay for sure.

V63litreor a BDAbut probably slim chance of finding one , but at least it woud still be ford & have a good resale value .Lump of V8 cast iron would make it a pig .

If it's a 1980 model then it is RWD. The FWD new generation Capris were rubbish. One would be better of with a 323 Convertible (they are rare at least) or an MX5.
