Hi guys.Wondering if someone could explain please. We went to hook up a flat battery today to the charger, and the charger read "charge reverse polarity".I don't understand this, and is it safe and what are the possible dangers of doing this!
Your help would be appreciated

I have struck this a couple of times when a batt is real flat its polarity has switched you wont be able to charge it you could try flattening it off even more and re charging but then you could have trouble trying to charge it at all on a auto charger you would need to hook it up in parrallel with another battery. if all fails you will have to replace it

did you connect the charger correctly red is + black is minus! above is a good idea how to try if you connected it right as reverse polarity would be if you connected the charger wrong. also
