Have a 1990 Corolla that looks nice except for the bonnet and roof. Is there any way to make this, I guess clear coat coming off, any better other than repaint!

colour sand and apply a new coat of clear. i done it to my 86 supra in the shed( the dark red colour ) came up a treat 1000grit wet and dry paper and a block just dont go too deep and then clean with spirits and on with the clear
