been quoted about $600 to do including water pump would this be about right ! i thought $300 would be more like it .

Excellent kaz.just a pity that more people are unable to equate the cost of repairs etc against the km/time that the different parts actually last. Always laugh at people that are reluctant to replace a failing battery because it is only 4 years old and costs $140 to replace.

Used to do the same when I was in the exhaust business but you couldnt convince some punters, if it equated to about 1 cent a day thats how they would wont to pay it off
