i had the same problem with a nissan homey van td27 non turbo, i re-tourqed head and no more problems /maybe you could be lucky as i was! they a tough engine

They can crack, but only when seriously overheated. I've only ever seen one. New TD27 heads are cheap to buy anyway, if that is the problem.

if you cant hear it roaring when your engine is heating up, then it's not working, or the water flowing around your radiator.
everyone overlooks these, the internet is full of people suggesting give it a spin with your hand - dont bother.use your ears.
