Are the glow plugs working.!

thats a good point, had them changed two years ago ,i suppose the could be blocked up or faulty by now , can they be cleaned or do they need to be replaced !

Test you glow plugs first, that would be the first point of call before you worry about injectors. To answer your original q, most diesel specialists can clean or rekit injectors far cheaper than replacing.

2 years ago! They usually last 6 to 12 months in Mazdas. Test each one, and if one is faulty, replace the lot. They are not servicable, but get a drill bit the same sizeas the heating element end of the glow plug and run it down each hole with your hand. That will clean out any carbon in the tubes, otherwise you may damage the new glow plugs when fitting them.

Also, put some anti-seize grease on the threads before you fit new glow plugs and don't overtighten them.

And, while you've got your tools out and you're all enthusiastic, replace your fuel filter. It's on the driver's side inner mudguard, behind the battery.
