Why can't we do this here! Watching things like the british police road patrol if a cars stopped with no road tax/insurance they take it off the road. Why cant we do the same here.

Notice how many they stop! It just shows how massively effective it is, not.
It doesn't stop someone in a stolen car or yo bois who don't care. What's more they extend it to scooters and junk which is a bit OTT. Insurance is cheap here, most people with a brain have it and the ones without it often don't care.
I would be pissed off if they brought that in cause we have it so good with insurance here, prices in some states with compulsory in the US would make you shyte a brick

there was a car that had been visiting someone in the complex, i'd previously noted it had dead plates. anyway it had plates friday came back the sat' with no plates and back again the sunday no plates. saw one today over the road where the driver reached outside to open the drivers door and looked at the rego label 29/11/2009. so probably defective by now for a wof so therefore a potential accident waiting to happen , but apparently someone doing 105km/h is more dangerous !
