My .battery had died in my car, I was quoted 170.00 to replace it, this I dont mind but my brother who also has a 2005 outback tells me anybattery will do , it does not have to be a subaru one , Can anyone tell me if he is right or wrong please. Dont want to spend more than I have to

any battery will do as long it is the same spec.

oh ty for that . will take my old one in to make sure its the same size.
