Following the seals and head gaskets saga, the engine is running as sweet as. The only snag now is that the transmission appears to be slipping when driving. This happens at varying speeds, but usually only in top gear. Have carried out transmission filter and fluid change, but no change in symptoms - revs climb dramatically, gearbox feels like it is changing down and then settles back to normal - 2500 rpm at 100 kph. Also, engine check light has come on intermittently, and then goes out. Don't know if this is an engine fault or a gearbox fault. Mr. Haynes is not too helpful regarding auto transaxles beyond 'check fluid level and condition'. Both OK as far as I can tell.
