hey all.i have a problem with the clutch in my 89 1800cc van. very stiff when you wiggle gear stick from side to side. takes a big effort [two hands] to get reverse 3rd gear has to be double clutch to engagegoing up through gears gong backwards .4th to 3rd no problem . yes i have fluid pedal is a bit soft thoughno slipping when in gear and sum times the odd groungh to get a gear!>>>>> oil! clutch plate! slave cylinder ! or rooted gears inside my box!

more likely a flogged out or maladjusted gear linkage.
