my mate has a 186 holden powered landy an he keeps on blowing the back diff an he wants to change it has anyone got any ideas on an easy conversion. thanks

Somethings not right .Had a old S2with mildlyworked186 & never broke diff . Broke 1 rear axleonce, it had a hard life off road . Sure someone hasnt putoddball diff in , rover 90 diffs were common forholden conversions ashigher ratioprovideed changed front & rear.

It's unusual for a landy diff to blow. the axles usualy snapped long before the diff let go.

Hi. Use a 109 V8 rear diff & put a Range Rover diff head in the front. This will gear the vehicle up for more comfortable running. You could fit a Landrover clutch ,for smoother operation. Difficult but can be done.
