A monsoon is the plastic strip that runs along the top of the door covering the top of the window. Does it have a sharp broken edge on it! That's the only reason I can think of for failing a wof

OH yes it is broken! Here I was trying to think of something under the car.
I gess for safety reasons it can be a Hazard eg having to climb out the window.
Thanks guys

Just removing it will get you through the wof as mentioned above

Removing them is easier said than done. They're usually glued, and I haven't heard of anyone who has a foolproof method of taking them off without leaving a mess. I've been put off buying Japanese imports because of those ugly things. I reckon if you have a business that can get rid of them and leave the doors looking pristine you'd be on to a winner.

Undo the screws, grab some fishing line or similar and "saw" through the double sided tape holding the monsoon down (it can be ripped off carefully also). Buy a Vanilla Wheel, put it in the drill and buff the remaining double sided tape off.
Give the area a cut and polish, job done.

Done loads of them, all with 100% success.
Sometimes you can tell a monsoon was fitted. because the underlying paint has faded less than the rest of the paint.
