The Lancer is a good car, especially if it's manual. Get your mechanic to check it out first.

Yes they have always been a good car, as above I would plan on doing the cambelt soon just so you know its done, Radiator inhibitor, oil change then it will last many years and should do 200,000km easy. Best of luck.

They're good cars. Buy it.

It'll be due for a new cambelt, they should be replaced between 80,000 and 100,000k or so or 8 years.
Since that car's 9 years old, it should have been done.

Odd, no one has asked if its the GDI turbo version!
I thought that would be the first question.

nevndeb, Oct 6, 3:45pm
It's not a turbo, and there is nothing to indicate it's a GDI. I have had a 3 litre GDI Diamante for years now, and have to say it is the most reliable car I have ever had (323,000kms) so far. Guess I have been lucky there. Anyway, it has GDI written on it all over the place, but the lancer hasn't.
