Oh wow a puppet who buys into the global warming BS (isnt it climate change now). and the F word is well justified when describing the greens.

smac, Dec 5, 4:17pm
You mean big cars or big engines! On the open road a diesel Mondeo uses the same fuel as a Hyundai i30 (less if loaded with passengers). I know which I'd rather be in. After the Mondeo you can still walk, and won't have been blown off the road by a gust of wind.

3tomany, Dec 5, 5:07pm
what do you call big! falcons are just as economical as some small to medium cars and even somesuv's are getting single figure consumption so where is the point of driving a small car!

smac, Dec 5, 5:13pm
Over the last 8000km our FG is at 8.6l/100km.

doctor_evil99, Dec 5, 5:21pm
No way. I am not going to drive a small car or an hybrid. what woud the girls think!that I lack something in my mojo!

3tomany, Dec 5, 5:30pm
mine averages 10.2 and i live up a winding gravel road 550 meters altitude. My dads suzukisx4 awd auto averages 11ltr/100 living on the same farm. oh and my falcon also tows a tandem trailer in those numbers

smac, Dec 5, 5:39pm
Yeah good stuff. Wifie took quite some convincing to go the falcon over a 6, or accord euro sized thing. After a week with the coon she came home and said we ABSOLUTELY bought the right car.

trogedon, Dec 5, 10:36pm
I've got a friend who had a headon in a late model Mondeo. Terrible result for him compared with the guy in the car he hit.

akaniva, Dec 5, 10:57pm
I'll be keeping my 1933 straight eight thanks. It does 21mpg cruising along which is 7.4km/l. Oh, and 50-80km/h in 6 secs in top.

whqqsh, Dec 5, 11:00pm
Rotas chew more gas (km/cc) so I assume theyll go first if thats the rationale

mokaubach, Dec 6, 1:48am
I'm hoping I have maybe 20 years of V8 enjoying ahead before the mobility scooter. Fossil fuels will hold out that long at least, I intend burning my fair share.

vjregal770, Dec 6, 2:00am
Says you. Get over yourself. As for Aussie, here's a newsflash - it's an arid, hot country, and has ALWAYS been subject to extreme heat. I can recall 40+ temps when we were living in Melbourne in the '70s.

If you're naive enough to buy into a very obvious political agenda, then that's your funeral - or do you REALLY think politicians and their leftist media flunkies are going from talkfest to talkfest (by plane and limousine might I add, therefore using a crapload of fossil fuels), for your betterment! Really!

The old truism applies - the desire to "save" mankind is always a false front for the desire to RULE it.

Why are you trying to be peoples friend!

You annoy almost everyone here and tout this rubbish. Go away

bellky, Dec 6, 2:38pm
Haha, keep up the good work honey.

sabbath-black, Dec 6, 2:53pm
.you've got a friend!

trogedon, Dec 6, 9:54pm
Yeah, but just the one.

corvette3, Dec 10, 12:47am
AAAHHH The sound of a V8 winding out and hauling arse is Priceless.

lazzo, Dec 10, 12:57am
People are missing the point. V8 owners typically don't care how much fuel it burns or what the cost is, they just fill up when it's empty and enjoy the road ahead.

wrong2, Dec 10, 1:56am
the science is firmly in the GW court

the ones denying it have their heads in the sand

ps, the pollies were conspicuous at rio 2012 by their ABSENCE - the event was turned into a JOKE by their staying away
