Holden Colorado Wallowing.2009

jimliz1, Dec 6, 10:44pm
We have recently bought a 2009 Colorado Ute with 22 inch mags/low profile tyres. (And canopy)

It drives quite nicely however it can wallow a bit when going over very uneven road surfaces. (After going over the bumps the rear end tends to move up and down on its leaf springs)

I am contemplating putting a set of monroe gas/air shocks on to help stiffen up the rear end - has anyone got any thoughts on how successful this will be!

Cheers

Our work ones have had an extra spring leaf fitted along with better shocks. Seems to have taken the worst of the roll out of it. Talk to your local Holden dealer

Yeah, Holden should make boats. Oh wait, they already do.

it's a truck, designed to carry loads. It'll never be a comfy on the road as a car no matter what you spend on it.Shocks may help , or they may make it even worse.

This is at least part of your problem. What use is that! Anyway, put some adjustable air shocks in there and harden them up. That will fix the wallowing in the back (wont be comfortable though), then you just need to sort the front.

Not uncommon to get "Tramlining" when fitting way oversized rims.
