Good point Kaz, but in this case, it was neither a high K or old car.
As yes, as it stands at the moment, an auction with no misleading info is still a way of disposing of old, high K cars that you speak of, although as you know, this is about to change.

I thought you had already said that auctions were the way to go for this, and that in the case this thread is about, the only reason the buyer has comeback is that the seller was foolish enough to give a guarantee in the auction wording. I guess you are saying that dealers should be able to stick trade ins at the back of the lot with a cheap price on them and a general disclaimer as to condition, and I would agree. There is a market for them and the main requirement is that the buyer knows what is being offered and makes the decision accordingly.
