not sure if i like it, perhaps it will grow on you

thebluboy, Nov 11, 7:49am
Yeah I remember when th the sheep shaggers come out I thought they were hideous. 10 years later I owned 1. After they came out all the other Ute designs started going in the same direction.

is that the one with the 2.8 engine cummins copy or something

cagivachick1, Nov 11, 8:23am
no thats the foton tunland

trogedon, Nov 11, 8:26am
The new Back to the future hommage one looks good (well as good as a proper 4x4 can)

xs1100, Nov 11, 8:31am
heard Toyota were using it also

tamarillo, Nov 11, 9:29am
Yes might grow on you.
Moles do a similar thing but they're still ugly.
But it won't make a blind bit of difference, they have a deserved reputation.

desmodave, Nov 11, 11:39am
Jeep , there's only 1

zephyrheaven, Nov 11, 5:17pm
its like saying Brooke Shields is hot - sure 20 years ago, but things change and apart from the badges they are a shadow of their lineage

mals69, Nov 11, 7:24pm
Just get latest Navara and forget rest

phillip.weston, Nov 11, 10:55pm
It's not a Hilux.

bigfatmat1, Nov 11, 11:24pm
would have to be a massive improvement on the last problematic model.

brapbrap8, Nov 12, 12:00am
The new Hilux and Navara are both getting pretty bad reviews, both of them are well behind the Ranger/BT50 and VW Amarok still.

survivalkiwi, Nov 12, 12:16am
Where are the bad review on the New navara?

matt5209, Nov 12, 12:50am
You might be taking things a bit personally there chap, it's just a forum.

bjmh, Nov 12, 1:26am
ha ha you think !

mals69, Nov 12, 2:24am
Can you elaborate ? Going by resale value would not have thought they could be to bad - not exactly give away prices for a 2007 model.

New Navara got the trick suspension, twin turbo etc etc makes competition look like they should be in an episode of the flintstones

This is also worth a read, Ranger, BT50 and Amarok did heaps better than the Hilux and Navara.

The problem with the new Hilux is it is not a serious ute as it is quite limited for towing or carrying a load on the tray, but it is still rough to drive.
Also reading the reviews for the updated Prado they rubbish the new 2.8 engine as being way too gutless.

mals69, Nov 12, 2:36am
You could find hundreds of reviews to the contray

noswalg, Nov 12, 2:40am
she's looking more and more like Bruce Jenner or is it the other way round.

tsjcf, Nov 12, 2:55am
Put ya links up then. Last couple of months the triton is even outselling the Navara.

mals69, Nov 12, 3:09am
That is because they selling Tritons at 30K

Do not pay heed to reviews in magazines who take advertising dollars
from various manufacturers - prefer to drive them - do yourself a favour
and take the latest navara for a test drive and report back ?

cagivachick1, Nov 12, 7:04am
i have seen more than one jeep

dr.doolittle, Nov 12, 7:11am
Maybe one day, when(if) you guys grow-up, you can joint the Ford V Holden debate.
