The guy asked " you dont want us to replace that for you?"I said, no I can do it. He says "good luck with that" he smiles and I walk away. I now understand his humor it took the best part of 2 hours to extract the battery and put the replacement in. I now know why! it still had the original battery in it ! great going for a battery 12 years and 169000 ks

find out if your car already has a smart alternator if it does then the battery capacity must be programmed in to the system whatch the video i posted on the porsche thread. 2003 probably dont have a smart charger but if it has it will nuke your new battery .
