Hi I have a 2000 Mazda Astina 323 with problems intermittently it starts most of the time drives for about 20 mins bunny hops and then shuts down. I have had 4 different mechanics out and the problem has still not been fixed. I have had the fuel pump replaced yesterday but is still breaking down. I can leave it for around 10 minutes and then it will breakdown again. It has just had a full service and cambelt replaced by a qualified local mechanic. Anyone have any ideas to what this issue could be?

I had similar with a Nissan Pulsar . turned out to be the cam knock sensor,i'm wondering if whoever did the cambelt might have damaged the knock sensor.Does the engine check light come on when it stops.

The big question here is did this issue begin before or after the belt and service work? Whoever is trying to fix it also needs to be finding out what is actually going missing, be it spark or fuel, RPM signal, whatever, and not throwing parts at it that MIGHT be faulty.
