Does a car need reverse lights to pass a wof?

I believe that you can do this since it doesn't contravene any of the conditions which "bjmh" has kindly posted re 'permitted equipment'.
Although my car is fitted with reversing lights on each side of the rear, I have fitted a central 55 watt halogen clear fog lamp, so as to provide plenty of reversing light without any stray high level light. It is connected to my reversing lamp supply via a relay that I have added. The other two original reversing lamps need to have their globes removed to make it legal. The illumination from my fog light isn't the best because it is mounted too high, but I didn't have any other easy choice. I think that a driving light would be best if the light can only be mounted above bumper level.
