Given a Toyota W58 box with straight cut gears can handle Rover's venerable V8 in race trim with ease - but is noisy for road use, what is the approximate value difference between the two?
Is a rebuilt straight cut box an easily saleable item?

The W58's are a good strong all-round box good for approx. 350-400hp with ease- I used them in my Supra "back in the day" running in excess of 400hp drag racing, although I blew the box once I started upping the HP from there. They are VERY saleable items! Not to be confused with the "lighter" W55.
Much stronger is the older R154 box- all steel case and much better internals, we rebuilt one with a hardened gear set to replace the W58 and it never once complained, running up to 600hp and into the 10's.
