Ex-Toyota /Lexus mechanics working for themselves?

bigmwkd, Apr 26, 12:33am
I'm trying to find a competent and knowledgeable mechanic who has previously worked at any major Toyota/Lexus dealership in Auckland.

Does anyone know of someone who fits the bill and has set up shop for themselves? I can supply all parts, I just need someone who knows the cars inside/out.

There is an excellent one in Warkworth.

you be loved by professionals when you try and tell them how to fix your car and to do it all for free because you supply parts and then blame them if it did not fix it afterwards.

You're a tit.

Firstly I didn't say I would be telling them how to fix the car - I expressly said I'm looking for someone who knows the car/engine, because I don't!

Secondly, of course I am paying them to do the work!

You utter twat.

quote can supply all parts
yea ok you said can not will supply . supply of parts means usually your a cheapskate who hopes to have things done cheaper then cheap its whyt i concluded my comment from. So i dont know if you did not realise that is what you imply with that comment.

i let my clients supply own parts but i dont fit any secoundhand parts and electronic parts only from manufacturer and if they supply wrong parts i get the parts and they pay full retail price on the parts non of my discounts gets passed on. Otherwise i share my discount with clients more or less depending if they are a good or bad client and if they are in need of help or have enough money and just pretend to be poor like the filthy rich pretend to be the poorest souls its why they are rich in the first place .

Maybe you should not jump to conclusions so quickly. Imply doesn't mean certainty.

A while back I needed a brake wear sensor for my Lexus. The dealership quoted over $500 for the part alone, and told me that there were none in stock and it will take around a week to get one. So . I purchased the genuine part from a Lexus dealer in the US and landed it here for $95. The dealership fitted it for me quite happily. It seems to me that a reasonable tradesman should do the job for what is, after all, a pretty significant hourly rate without feeling the need to make a tidy profit on the parts as well.
