duggin--what kind of "key" do you have? ie is it a key you put in the ignition and turn or is it a push button start with a square box? if its a "normal" key then you only need the key to have a chip-unless you want all the fancy door opening stuff. a chip key should be readily available. if its a square box then you need to get the "key" coded to the car. so allow $120 to do that.
