Looking at a Lexus RX330 2005. Any comments, good or bad.

Neighbour has one after getting rid of his merc. He calls it his "camary". After years of so called luxury European cars hes happy to have a car that he doesn't have to cross his fingers and pray that no new dash fault lights come up each morning.

It's Lexus so it's really well made and engineered, quiet too. It could be argued it doesn't have the same driving appeal as a BMW but it's an SUV so that's not really a great factor. Personally I reckon they look kinda gawky but that's just my opinion. If you need/really want a petrol SUV it's a damn good one to choose. And there lies its biggest downfall for many, an SUV with no diesel option. But diesels have their own problems so if you don't mind the petrol use go for it.

My father has one. V6 motor likes a drink, but otherwise it has been a good car which is very comfy and ha some zip. Lexus like to charge plenty for their parts. Geoff
