I have a Mazda 3 BL series with the 2.0 engine. It has a single exhaust muffler.
The same BL series SP25 has a dual exhaust. Does anyone know if the SP25 exhaust is a direct bolt on to the standard 2.0 ?

As a rule the basic car doesn't change. So hanger brackets etc remain the same. but I think you will still need to retain your headers

I am looking at just changing the muffler, I don't need to change any of the headers or down pipe for that I would imagine ?

no just muffler I would think. That has a sideways mounted rear muffler - dual exhaust pipe. I see you can buy an after market dual - I would assume you just change the original rear muffler. assume being the operative word

I am planning on getting a SP25 muffler from a wreckers. Aftermarket ones seem too pricy
