Will 1997 Isuzu bighorn 3.1 alternator fit a 1994?

before i put it all back together again. will a 97 alternator (same engine) work on a 1994? plug location is abit different but otherwise looks the same. thanks :)

The only problem i have found is the vac pump on diesel to be to long . on a isuzu elf 4wd there was a hose going down the back stopping it to be adjusted because the vac pump was a bit longer on aftermarket one. Diesel have a vacuum pump on back of alternator normally on isuzu
if the alternator dimensions are all the same it should fit.

Well this will work but you may need to alter the mounting brackets and different size belt, if you are handy with tools and such all good, does take a bit of time and can be fiddly. Yes electrical connections could be different but can be changed, all depends on you. If you like stuffing around.

thanks heaps guys. really appreciate it. looks like the 94 is a 50amp where the 97 is 80amp which is a massive difference too. no wonder it wasn't charging my massive battery. lol
