the display screen has frozen so i cannot change radio stations or change aircon settings.Anyone come across this?The screen lights up but the touch screen dos not work.Any advice woud be appreciated.thanks in advance cheers

Restart it somehow.
Taking the negitive off the car battery for some minutes may be the essayist way. But you could also take the unit out and put it back in, or see if holding down power restarts it etc.

most probably electronics failed . what you need is the factory scantool hooked up check for codes and if there is a TSb to flash the electronics pooh to fix a known problem. otherwise repmoval and repair or replace once wiring and other modules are checked and the fault is within the unit.

How long are you leaving it all disconnected for? Also do you have the factory disk or SD card for the car?
