Will Toyota trump again like in 1980s

Toyota are always ahead of the game, no surprises there.

Well we've just bought a new car -and after driving a late model Toyota Corrolla as as rental - that was totally off the list - hard to get in and out of - and a cramped driving condition - I was surprised I've always liked them - but not now

And nothing at all to do with any computer chips.

intrade, Mar 10, 1:41pm
read the part about blackbox.
and yes all modern crap is claustrofobic. thats due to 100 tousend airbags and all other crap taking up room. my 95 punto is 1 meter 15cm wide in the boot and the 07 passat only 1 meter. the funcargo toyota is a tardis.

intrade, Mar 10, 1:43pm
actually it does all them computer crap takes up all available room for passengers.

Lissie u need an suv, as u get older some cars are too low, and the corolla is low.

bigmacnfries, Mar 10, 2:31pm
You're a tard Intrade.

No need for name calling. You should come up with a better argument rather than resorting to name calling.

Unfortunately tigertung that's the best he's got. It probably sounded great echoing around inside his head as he typed it.

No thanks - bought a Holden Spark - was way easier to get iinto, so was the MG 3 and the Kia Rio which we test drove

Not sure we are in the same age group as you, but we find all those small boxes difficult to get in and out of, cramped and too lightweight. Just wait till you get a decent sized truck and trailer go passed you on the open road.
That is truly scary in a little car.

gph1961, Mar 10, 7:12pm
waking up sunday morning in a single bed truly scary

Toyota goes from strength to strength, they are so clever, just look at how much money they have. The Corolla Sedan Hybrid in the link looks stunning, the humble Corolla has become a big handsome saloon car.

The Plebians will be happy. They get "Fries" with their orders. Meanwhile the Patricians don't care.

Not sure about the teaser Toyota full electric suv.

Front looks kinda fugly. Probably trying to create an impact like the original prius.

I would wait till the 2nd edition and when some of the insider repair knowledge for faults starts to leak out to the suburban workshops.

It's more to do with exterior sloping shapes that compromised interior space and visibility. Side and curtain airbags don't take up more room than they did 10 years ago, yet 10 year old cars have more room.

Now with Toyota, and also other brands too

2018 Camry has less rear headroom than 2012 Camry
2018 Corolla has less rear headroom and leg space than a 2006 Corolla
The new HRV is basically a 2 door without any usable rear space.

This is happening with Lexus too

The 2018 LS500 has compromised rear headroom space, and feels very small with all these rear infotainment screens and buttons everywhere.

Yep same here. We hired a late model Corolla and getting in and out was a hassle.
