There are 2 types of Subaru yellow top side feed injectors (early and late). the first type found on some twin turbo bg/bd legacys and v3/v4 sti have 440cc yellow injectors, these will fit into your factory rails. the later type found on be/bh twin turbo legacys and v5/v6 sti's are 550cc yellow injectors and will not fit into your factory rails. both are side fed and you can tell the difference between the to as the 550cc injectors have a smooth alloy cover and the 440cc have a ridged cover( like the greys). the 550cc injectors have 4small holes at the tip where fuel is released where as the 440cc injectors have a pin in the middle same as the early grey top injectors except slightly bigger. You can fit the 550cc injectors if you run a split rail using 2 factory 550cc RH rails and weld fittings to one side of each rail with a factory reg on the other end. the 550cc injectors also fit in some Nissan RB rails;) If your gona change out the injectors then you should be changing the fuel pump, ecu and afm along with it, your factory ecu's injector pulse rate is not designed for 440cc and will probably just use more fuel and blow black smoke with no noticeable power gains as its limited and if your fuel pump is the factory one then things could get a lot worse. First thing id do to a factory v1 is rebuild the engine and replace heads with solid shim bucket heads and matching pistons. no point building on something that will blowup
