Ive just got a ford v6 engine but not sure what size the casting number is 2721E ive googled with no avail.the carb on the other hand comes back as a IV zodiac 40dva2 but doesnt look to becorrect for this engine engines got three exhast port and guessing its also a D port going by the inlet gasket that came with it.

Yep she a 3L was cleaning the block of all the years of grim and stamped on a lag close to the fuel pump is 3.0 .thanks guys for the help

What are you doing with the motor!., many moons ago when I was a young fella I had a MK1 cortina with a V6 in it., it was a common transplant back then. it went well too from what I recall.
