Single Point Injection on Mazda B5 Engine

nomannz123, Mar 28, 12:03pm
The engine in my car is hassingle point injection carburettor, nowfew things that I don't know is:
1. What sets the air fuel mixture as there appears to be a o2 sensor in the pipe.
2. Some one before I owned the car cut the wires to the 02 sensor and rejoined and taped wires, might this cause a high idle
3. What is the PTC relay for in this vehicle
4. Can I buy a refurbished carburettor and if so how much will it cost
any ideas as to why this mazda idles at correct RPM (1750) when cold and when warmed up idles at (1500 RPM).
Any help is warmly appreciated

B5

they basiacly run by engine temperature.
Basic central solenoid injection.
And the backof the inlet drivers side temp sensor can be a bit loose and dirty connections there will give ya grief.

Snoopy, where do I find the inlet drivers side temperature sensor, is that on the back of the block or on the manifold somewhere.
Can the central solenoid be replaced without taking the whole thing to bits.
I found two temperature senders at the front, 1 gauge and one for the fan.
I will look for the one at the back as you have said.
cheers
