well i go out to my car this morning so i could go away to town and my ignition in my car is broken grrrrr would this be expensive to fix or should i sell as is !

depends on what year/model your car is,if its a commodore from about 89 onwards they can be a hassle,if its older,could be able to do something cheap

The ignition barrell is reasonably straightforward to replace IF the key can still be turned, from memory around $200ish for a new barrell fitted

please explain what you mean by broken does it turn at all does it turn but not light up the dask lights or wind over the engine can you move the steering wheel can you move the gear lever has it been ripped out by some thug

I am a Locksmith. This is a common problem with Holdens. Any actual locksmith should be able to replace your ignition easily. As for price, the ignition is about $100, they will charge you to make it match your key (this is not optional) $20-40, and labour & mileage at their standard rate. Lost count of how many of these I woulda done.

So $300ish all up! Not worth selling your car over. Otherwise you'll have to sell it when the tyres go bald, or it runs out of fuel.
