V6 3.2 wizard overheating

after about an hr of driving over heats and blows water out over flow botlle.and heater starts blowing cold air does anyone know of eny comman faults.no water in oil.and not smoking.seems like blockage rather than head gasket!havnt checked thermostat yet

Get it teekay and pressure checkedby a garage or radiator specialist, those 6VD1 engines can crack heads. You better hope that it isnt, its an engine out job to fix it. I did one 10 years ago and the horror of it still haunts me, there was nothing easy about it.Isuzu also saw fit to use four different timing belt and timing mark arrangements on those engines so you need to make sure whoever pulls it to bits has the right info on hand.

thanks gona get it checked this week.would rather get a secound hand motor,if they crack heads easily! thanks franc

I did Bighorn V6 heads in place once. What a MF of a thing to work on!

Thats why I recommend pulling the motor completely. At least you get reasonable access to that alloy crossover pipe between the heads at the rear. A ghastly design of an engine.

Yeah pricks of things.

And recently, I've done a V6 Ford Escape (2 x timing chains, DOHC per bank). A veeeeery time consuming job compared to most other V6s.
