HI EVERYONE! CAN ANYONE HELP NZ WIDE , WE ARE LOOKING FOR A 1995 TOYOTA HILUX 3.0 SSR X SURF WAGON .REAR DIFF RATIO 4.1, our mechanic cannot find one and will cost $5000 to rebuild or $13,000 for a new, we cant afford either so need to find a second hand anywhere in the country

I,m picking the mechanic wants 5k to rebuild the rear diff. Hence my suggestion of finding another mechanic. There is plenty being wrecked on trademe.

You are being ripped off. A good second hand diff head can be got for $500 or less

1000s of these are at wrackers and on farmers backyards with cracked heads and leaking diesel pumps. should be one of the most easy things to optain a difffor one of these.

Like the others have said 5k is a rip, I wouldn't pay any more that $300, you could ask on offroadexpress.co.nz
