My daughter had a Dora one i changed it to 12v modified it to suit a descent motor put a forward reverse switch in it, cause she kept getting stuck then put some leds in behind the fake lamps. My next project is the boys one.

Boys are lots of fun; we built a goped (nicknamed the "bro-ped') that was powered by a FA50, a bit scary pulling 60+K on a kids scooter. Sanity prevailed in the end and I geared it down to a sensible top speed.

I would check the turbo, possibly a hair clip stuck in the housing causing low boost pressure. Cool car all the same!

I had a 6V bike one, which I used a 9.6V battery drill battery on, one day I put 2 in series (19V) and she was spinning up the back wheels and pulling wheelies, she liked it! Lets not talkabout the 12V power wheels after that, she used to drift down the driveway.
Thats such a cool vid! Poor kid doesn't stand a chance. will be 'playing' with cars for the rest of his life. Great dad obviously.
