Lower front ball joints,94 nissan terrano

looks like i have to pop the cv to change these as does not have the clearance above to remove them, is this the correct way to do or does anybody have any lil tricks for doing these they are willing to share?

no they are priks of things,i usually take the hub/carrier etc out,drop the caliper off without disturbing the brakehose and hang it up out of the way.If you disconnect the top and bottom suspension nuts,then break the joints away from there mounts,remove the outer circlip that retains the CV,then the whole carrier will slide off,leaving the axle still in the vehicle,you can now deal with your ball joint. have fun.
