Trying to find the 1928 Chev I restored in 1980. I have the original ownership papers going back to 1928, which I would like to pass onto the current owner. possibly in the Matakana area on a fruit farm now ?
Contact NZTA and ask them to advise the current owner that you would like them to contact you. Explain why.
Otherwise pay money at a Post Shop and complete a statuary declaration.

I would contact your local vintage club and let them put the word around for you. Could be anywhere in the country by now.,

Thanks, I belong to the VCC, and have asked around extensively among Chev owners Someone said they saw it parked outside a farm as an advertising prop near Matakana

I can't believe I'm going to say this but try Facebook. people have friends who have friends who have friends. someone will know for sure. Maybe there's a Matakana locals page or Matakana buy n sell page. any page that gets the info out there

If you car jam a previous plate, does it not come up with the current plate?
