Alternator on my 94 1KZ super custom van has packed it in, had a breif look at it and seems kinda strait forward to unbolt but getting the actual thing out looks not so easy, anyone done one of these before and has any pointers?

easiest way on most of those cab overs was to drop the radiator, even then it can be tight but it does offer a lot more room and decreases the potential to damage the rad

skin-I thought the super custom had a remote rad. Alim--whats between the alt and freedom?

I think you will find that once you remove the seats and engine cover it will become a whole lot more inviting. I think I have done one some years ago. Remember that an altenator is a detachable and serviceable unit so it will not be too difficult to remove with the correct knowledge and tools. From memory, you may have to undo the air conditioning compressor and sit it to the side and perhaps the bracket it mounts on, and the altenator will then come out the top.
