1996 Caldina Navigation

Hi There

I purchased a Toyota with parts of an old nav system still on the car. A small module on the dash and 2 retro looking aerials on the side (one on each side). Guessing this is all defunct now as the factory head unit has been removed? Probably defunct as soon as it came into NZ. Is there any use for it now? Or should I remove the lot?
Cheers

Remove and bin, no use to anyone. If leave hole in dash it can be repaired by mobile guys like fibrenew for bugger all.

ntm4-yep CAREFULLY peel the darn thing off. Its useless. If you pull gently the wires will either go across the dash and down or up into the pillar. you should be able to trace em to a place they are out of sight Cut the wires and wrap em in insulation tape just in case

Cheers all. Will remove tomorrow. Was more worried about removing the exterior aerials, looks like they are just stuck on with sticky pads though.

yep -pull em off and there with be a thick grey pad left.
If still wired youll find the wires go back and into the cabin via the hatch.
usually youll have to pull the door seal off to trace the wires.-they will go back and under the inside trim
