uawatb--being serious for a bit. Id be asking your mechanic who he suggests as a starting point. Its not a certain answer but also if they are well established (10 years plus) its an indicator they might be ok. BUT-you aren't buying a dealer you're buying a car. SOO-if you do extensive due diligence then even if they are dodgy you stand a good chance of a decent car. Theres "stuff' you can do to protect yourself. 1) If its an import ask to see the auction sheet and compliance sheet. 2)If Kiwi New check its rego history. 3) ensure you get a proper PP inspection carried out
