2009 Mazda Atenza. There is mild vibration felt in the cabin/seats etc when idling. The thing is though, it goes away when I put it into D. If a bad engine mount, I thought it would be worse after putting it into drive? It's more noticeable when cold and the idle is at 1500rpm.

Open the bonnet and have someone look at the engine as you start it, place into D keep your left foot hard on the brake and dab the gas pedal with your right foot. If the engine moves heaps you will know the mount is broken. Repeat with transmission in R. Of course do this is an open area and make sure the observer is standing clear.
