I have a 2011 Subaru Outback 3.6R. You get the height of a SUV but better handling and interior space. Because the OB is light at 1600kg the fuel economy is very good for that engine size and you have a lot of power on the open road. The H6 engine is also bulletproof vs the earlier H4 engines which were known for head gasket failure. From 2009-14 the 3.6s are conventional autos too

I have had my 04 Kluger for a year now with NO issues at all 2.4 motor, must be a real crap motor eh cos thats what a shite load of Camry taxis have as a power unit, good ol Toyota boring as reliable, might get a Euro next time so I can be stuck at Milford sound when it breaks down, just to spice up my holiday.

Whats it like on the gas?

Yep I love the Subarus as well, know first hand unfortunately about the head gasket problems and didn't realise the 6s were okay in this area. your model is out of my budget but the older 3 litre Outbacks are cheaper. will look into gas mileages etc for the 6. cheers

About the same as the ever reliable 2.2 Camry I had a few years ago, Have never done a fuel check on it to be honest. about 30 mpg old school

Ambo-based ONLY on what ive read here I'd suggest you take a 2007 or newer Toyota Feilder 1.8 for a drive.
I have a funny feeling you will be totally happiness filled.

Hi Kaz, I sat in a workmates 2010 Feilder the other day. way too low to be honest, a real effort to get in for me. otherwise yep I'd be keen. Why I was initially keen on an Isis, but was surprised how physically small they were in the flesh. Like the Mark X Zio, need to find one to sit in.
