Suppose you could call it "daylight robbery".

New version of an old trick. Same thing happened 20 years ago at the Holden/Subaru dealer in Blenheim, managed to test drive vehicle on their own without showing licence. Got locksmith to copy key. Came back 2am and drove car over kerb. This dealer didn’t have fences.

Why you should always wrap your keys in aluminium foil.

Make up your own mind how true it is.

I remember that! Was working for them at the time.

Even to this day none of the main dealers in Blenheim have fenced yards.

Trusting lot lol. Never used to have any real problems "back in the day" but as yoof have got less respectful of others property and pinching cars is turning into a national pass time we might see more fences going up.

If I recall it was a red Subaru WRX RA model with the roof vent, wind up windows and no sound deadening. They ran low on gas in Kaikoura and had to wait outside the servo before it opened, long before the 24 hour days. They looked suspicious so the local cop checked them out and nabbed them.

Cripes!
We are currently building a house in Blenheim.
Better get the fences up pronto!
