Apologies in advance for starting a fact-free discussion based on total generalizations. BUT

I've noticed a few comments on here that some of that latest BMWs don't seem built to the same high quality as BMWs used to be. Based on what you know of V8 Mercs in your family, would you say Mercs are going that way as well?

Asking for general curiosity!

I don't have any experience with brand new models, both cars are late 2000's under 100,000Km .
Build quality is very much above that of your average commuter (as expected considering their original price!) and they both drive and ride like new. Yes they do use a lot of sophisticated technology and some specialized parts are going to cost more than your average Ford, Toyota, VW, etc. but consumables are priced similar. The trick is to find one with a good service history and have it checked out by a Merc specialist.

(And did I mention how much fun they are to drive!).

Have to agree here, while I didn’t purchase a performance MB just a little B170, such terrific value for money and so much nicer to drive than my previous Toyota’s. With the vast choice of imports make sure it has an excellent service history, mine 2008 came with only 23,000km and full MB Japan service records.

Ive owned 11 BMWs back to back and, and currently own 2 at present, both SUVS ( X3 and X5 ) but my last car was a 2008 335 twin turbo and touch wood, I haven't had any serious issues with any of them. I do services every 10,000 and I'm doing around 20,000 kms per year.

Back to the OP's question. What are Chrysler 300 V8 Hemi Station wagons like?
