What a idiot that officer is
The other driver is well known to them so why basically trash a police vehicle .

You should get a job in the media, creating stories to cause outrage in the public.

Not only smashed over rocks but drenched in salt water as well. Then after all that they left the vehicle unsupervised when they found it so lost it. Stupid stupid idiots.

It is not that bad around there. I used to go fishing there in my 2WD Mazda ute with no worries.

joanie04, Jun 30, 5:47am
He was on the News tonight. He did get a flat tyre.

purplegoat, Jun 30, 7:38am
No need to worry at all about all that salt water washing up into the engine bay .

thejazzpianoma, Jun 30, 7:47am
My thoughts exactly. Also in the private sector you would get instant dismissal for treating the public like some of our Police do. Not to mention impeding someone from getting to the emergency room would be instant dismissal and likely court proceedings.

If the occupant of the vehicle being pursued was a known criminal. It might have been a wise idea just to have let the vehicle go till later as the officer was operating solo.
Some of the crims are pretty tooled up now. e.g

Certainly need an amendment in the law somewhere that the vehicle that failed to stop can be confiscated (probably with dash cam video evidence to support) by breaking a side window etc so the vehicle can be removed to a police storage yard.

Can you not see a difference?
Actually, no surprises there.

Certainly increased the police car damage financial tally with this effort in Christchurch

Hmm ‘military assault-grade’?

Haven’t heard that term before.
Is that a new media term for any gun that looks nasty?

(Not sure what it has to do with the original topic)

Put the bong down and tell us all about the time a Police car did a u turn in front of you 25 years ago. Great story, c’mon, please. there you were driving along and .

gedo1, Aug 1, 6:45pm
Oh dear. not the one about the doctor in Wellington area etc etc. the one you initially claimed involved a relation and then denied when asked about it all. Or was this another one, Jazz? Hmm. Another made up story without the real facts?

"Not to mention impeding someone from getting to the emergency room"
You have proved yourself there was no emergency that would have required you to speed
