Quarter of a tank left - will get some engine start spray over the weekend and see will that make it work.

Awesome battery this one, but after all this cranking it's charging now.

Hope you can find an easy fix - my Mum had one of these an early 2000s model from memory - maybe completely different from what you have - but it was a heap of shit in the end - can't put it any nicer - no end of problems, We ended up getting a towee to take it away in the end - it was a lemon.

what lights show up? check engine? 1995 is definitely obd 1

karlo, Mar 4, 3:28pm
Had this car for about 4 years and it never missed a beat - until now. I was very happy with it. So I hope it's something super simple.

intrade, Mar 4, 3:30pm
find obd port it could be obd 2 as gm was first to use od2 then vw then the japanese only 2000 or later.

karlo, Mar 4, 3:35pm
Will check tomorrow and let you know (charging the battery now).

My money is on it being the key

karlo, Mar 5, 5:04am
I only have one key and it was working fine all these years, so I don't think it's the key.

intrade, Mar 5, 5:20am
you said no immobiliser chip in key= would rule this out.
check if it has obd2 already. for opcom you need a XP windows

Had a car where the central locking would work then wouldnt then would !Presumed it was the lock, went to lock smith had new key cut,(not like Mitre10 or similar),not from rhe old key but from the locksmiths computer listing . voila. it works. Check the key for wear. Just a thought.

karlo, Mar 5, 11:27am
No immobiliser, just a plain old key, as for OBD see pic.

OK 10 PIN OBD1 Is this from your car as my launch x431 has 12 pin on obd1 GM i would need to look in the gmtech2 what its got

strobo, Mar 5, 11:53am
May have volume flow but not the necessary required pressure .!

poppy62, Mar 5, 12:06pm
Fuel filter blocked?

bill1451, Mar 5, 12:53pm
If I had to gamble on it I,d bet on the ballast resistor.

intrade, Mar 5, 1:38pm
i dont think it has a ballast resistor its almost guaranteed to have electric ignition= no ballast as the ballast resistor is to save the coil from burning up with systems who have contact set. ballast drops coil voltage to 8 volt from 12 volt during start.

Probably buggered points too.
