#52 i can tell you the german engine re-builders and germans are ultra accurate They said it can punch holes in pistons with vaves. because if nothing else gives there will be holes .logic would tell something has to give.

Mostly the valves bend or the rockers break, and I dare say that probably even the camshaft could lift off. but I've never seen a hole through a piston from a valve. I've seen valve heads stuck right into the head or piston, but never a hole through a piston, not even on a petrol, not even I don't recall on a motorbike.

I have seen holes through pistons, but it was always holes blown through heat softened metal.

Thanks, but no. On these engines the belt doesnt go around the crankshaft, just the cam and the injector pump.
