Just came across a Nissan Sylphy with a near new WOF that still hasn't had them replaced and the rego comes up as an alert on the recall website. Called up Nissan and they confirm it is still to be done. I thought the system would automatically block an inspector issuing it a new WOF? I guess I am wrong.

Is it definitely an Alpha airbag though? It is only those that are blocked, system doesn't allow the WOF to be inputted so if it has got through it is an issue with the system not the inspector

It is definitely an alpha airbag and confirmed by Nissan. The WOF was done in July and the system did not block it then from being issued a new WOF.
There was talk of this late last year but was it ever put into practice?
