Does it ever occur to you that some more mature people have better things to do with their money! I bet he's got money invested into something far more important. Maybe he's got a company vehicle. So why should he bother buying a late model car! That would be financial suicide. I drive a POS mid eighties Ford Courier, does that make me a complete tosser! Does that mean I'm not qualified to comment about a Commodore that's 20 years newer than my car!

Exactly. I actually have two houses (but I might sell one if the tenants move out) and a semi rural property, my wife has a car of her own, I walk to work as it's only 3 minutes away, and I have access to two company vehicles, a truck and a digger. Why the hell would I need a late model car! I could easily buy one, but there's just no point as it will just sit around and like you say, depreciate.

There are plenty of 'Thai 2.4 accords' stock driving at 250km/h on youtube. That is no small feat and certainly is quite impressive for a car that sold for 35k new in 2004. Funny how a 3rd world country can build a better quality product than your holden. You even been to South East Asia! As for your towing comment, my civic vti-r happily towed 1.5 tonne back from Auckland with an average 12l/100km. I am in agreement with many others on here with thier own home - getting ahead financially is more important than driving a late model car. You may one day figure that out.

Put your money where YOUR mouth is and give me a rice Vs Holden. I swapped an old shape Legacy for the Laurel, it's slower than a stock standard non sti WRX so seeing you say your car is faster than a WRX, you will have nothing to be worried about right! We're waiting Scotty.
